NEPALESE WOODEN MANTRA BLOCK

I mistakenly thought that this was in Tibetan, but I am told it is calligraphic Sanskrit, and Nepalese. It says OM-MA-NI-PAD-ME-HUM -  the mantra of Compassion Buddha Avaloketshvara.  It is made out of some heavy, dense hardwood, with a gleaming patina, richer than the picture,  from being handled so much.  Dimensions are  ''21 wide by 4 1/2" tall.  It could be put up on the wall, or a stand could be made for it as a stand alone object.  Either way, it looks great.  I have another slightly smaller one if one wanted a pair.  It looks like it has some age, but since I was wrong about it's identification, I am reclassifying it as a decorative object, and reducing the price accordingly.  $100
