17TH C. PEWTER ARAKAN BUDDHA

A very unusual buddha, with the composition consisting of a great deal of tin/lead, resulting in pewter rather than bronze.  Because of this, it has attained a beautiful soft grayish smooth patina.  It also has a beautiful serene face.  I have not seen another one like this.  It comes with a custom black stepped stand, but I prefer it without one.  It stands 11 inches tall, 13 inches with the stand.  One of the most unusual buddhas we have ever sold.  $2250
