16TH - 17TH C. ARAKAN BUDDHA

This small utterly charming Arakan buddha caught my eye amongst a huge collection of buddhas that I was viewing.  It has a lovely face, great composition, and a fine green burial patina.  It stands 9 inches high.  A wonderful addition to a collection, especially for collectors of Burmese.  This buddha appeared in the NY Tribal Antiques Show.  $1750.
