20TH C. ? NORTHERN SUKHOTHAI/KAMPHENG PHET BUDDHA

The age of this buddha has recently been called into question.  Although it has not been actually tested, it may possibly be a reproduction of an older one such as the one we previously had.  As such, I cannot guarantee that it is old, and it is therefore being sold as twentieth century.  It stands 15 inches high, and has a very strong patina as well as a contemplative face with a hint of  Chinese influence.  Regardless of age, it is aesthetically quite beautiful.  $900
